Adventure Summary - June 5th - 2010

After killing a Drakon alien in the engine room, on deck 3 at the bow of the ship, we head to the radio room in an attempt to find more Drakon aliens. We got entangled with a group of Marines on the way to the radio room, but were able to resolve the situation and head out. Faye instead goes to the upper decks of the ship to install a intergalactic interface on the electromagnets covering the ship.

We make it to the radio room, but there is nothing happening. There is an unconscious crewman with a shrill noise coming through the headphones sitting next to him. We search the room thoroughly and come upon another Dracon (who appear as having oily black skin and slanted red eyes). After talking with the alien we discover the Dracon plans and what rooms they are intending to affect (the engine room, battery room, bridge, and the electromagnetic generators themselves).

Faye emerges upon the upper deck into a green haze and makes her way to a an electromagnet to attach the intergalactic interface device. She is attacked by a Dracon wearing a Nazi uniform hidden by a white lab coat. After killing the alien, she pushes the body off the ship and finishes her work.

The group in the radio room take the Dracon prisoner back to the engine to confront the Elani aliens. After a tense situation we get them talking and discover that this Dracon is aware that everyone is caught in what appears to be an infinite loop of time, as he has died and come back to life to do the same mission over and over. The USS Eldridge seems to appear as a "Flying Dutchman" due to its partaking in the Philadelphia Experiment, blinking in and out of time cycles snatching new variables as it goes.

We resolve to try and stop the cycle by introducing new variables into the time loop. We actively search for other Dracon and are ambushed by one with MSG Bilco (Rob B) taking major damage in the attack.

We fight our way through the ambush and make it to the battery room. We find a bomb set to go off and Sten shoots it. We experience a bright flash and are sent back to our own time, in the mess hall before our briefing.

We finish breakfast and attend the briefing, glad to be home. We become part of what is called Task Force 214 and are sent to investigate a disturbance in the subterranean levels of New York City.

Adventure Summary - May 1st - 2010

Present:
Crystal - Faye Jorgansen
Aaron - Jason Miles
Sean - Tony Sunducchi
Robert A - Mr. Sten
Kay - Chloe Raven
Robert B - MSG Bilco
Mike - William Westcott

A majority of the players were summoned to the Naval Base in Norfolk VA, while William and Jason bounced into Washington D.C. via Dulles International with VIP status to attend a meeting of various agencies of US government. The intent, given the talent and backgrounds of the assembled group meant something involving a paranormal/supernatural event or situation. We spent a night, and then were brought in for breakfast the next morning, which was the first opportunity many in the party had to meet.

After introductions, the group continued eating and drinking and shortly after their meal a strange droning noise entered the mess hall accompanied by a bluish light. We were disabled by the incessant noise and then treated to a blinding flash that found us waking up stark naked and in what appeared to be a room on-board a ship at sea.

Faye and Sten recognized we were on some type of naval vassal, and after some preliminary searching discovered from a paper (the Philadelphia Gazette) which was dated Oct 27, 1943 that we had been somehow transported back in time. We checked the portholes and discovered we were at sea, set about in a greenish haze, on-board the USS Eldridge (later to be linked with the Philadelphia Experiment).

We left the room after gathering some old uniforms, and made our way onto the main deck. There were many soldiers and naval personnel at the ready with damage control gear and weapons. We were going to make our way to the control room when Chloe felt a psychic emanation from a passing crew member, sending a distinct message that he wasn't human.

We followed the crew member for a little while until Sten got his attention and began asking questions. It became obvious that the crew member had something to hide and seemed uneasy about being questioned. Afterward, he took us to a hold stocked with supplies where we met another "being" that described themselves as an Elani. These aliens had been sent back in time to make the Philadelphia Experiment go convincingly awry so as to discourage mankind from making advances in various sciences and technology which would have drawn the attention of the Dracon. A different, hostile, alien species bent on seeing to the destruction of mankind.

Once we had been filled in on the details, we choose to assist the Elani with their efforts to sabotage the Eldridge. We identified and eliminated a couple of Dracon aliens, also stripping them of their disguises that enabled them to look like normal humanoids.

Everyone contributed to the fight, and while Faye helped the aliens with their sabotaging efforts, the rest of the group assisted with hunting down the Dracon to prevent them from thwarting the efforts of the Elani.
